On Thursday, June 26, 2014, the Big Ten Network threw an exclusive Big Ten Kickoff Party at Cipriani on the east side to welcome Maryland and Rutgers to the Big Ten and to celebrate the B10 expansion to the east coast. Frequent MSUACGNY club volunteers were chosen and attended this festive event, with catered food and drink, held on a large football field carpet with yard line markers, a goalpost, and a few rows of stadium aluminum bench seats.

Gather with fellow Spartans at the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic pre-game reception. Special appearance by Coach Tom Izzo prior to the MSU men’s basketball game at the Barclays Center. Admission is $25 and includes refreshments and door prizes. A cash bar will be available. Advance registration is required.

The State Farm Champions Classic featuring four of the top basketball programs in the country—Michigan State, Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas—was held on November 15th, 2011 at Madison Square Garden.

The MSU Alumni Club of Greater NY joined the MSU Alumni Association at a reception to welcome the Spartan Basketball team to New York City the day before the game.

On December 6, 2010 Sparty visited with the Alumni Club of Greater NY at Mercury Bar East in New York City to raise money for the V Foundation. The event was able to raise $630 and all of the NY area alumni were thrilled to be able to see our beloved Sparty within the shadow of the Empire State Building.
