Last week the MSUAA Executive Director, Scott Westerman, joined our New York Spartans for a Green & White Evening, discussing how he uses social media over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Westerman’s recent viral campaign encouraged alumni to contribute a small donation to the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance in response to the “Go Blue” written in the sky over Spartan Stadium during the Youngstown State game.
Alumni young and old gathered at JP Morgan Chase on Madison Avenue on Monday, December 10 for a reception with MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon and newly-appointed Vice President of Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Stephen Hsu.

The Assistant Professor of Music at MSU delighted a sell-out audience at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on Saturday evening, October 6th with a piano recital that featured virtuoso performances of works from the 18th, 19th, and 20th Centuries.
Exhibiting an “intellectual sensitivity” at the keyboard, Mr.
Formed by three MSU alumni, Definitions Theatre Company will be producing Arts or Crafts by Rob Roznowski (MSU’s Head of Acting).
The play is a limited engagement running May 31 through June 3 at The Players Theatre in the West Village. Seven of the show’s cast members are MSU alumni, as well as Mr.
On April 14, 2012 the MSU Collegiate Honors Recital was held at New York’s Carnegie Hall. Michigan State Alumni in attendance witnessed dramatic musical performances in the intimate setting of the famous Weill Recital Hall.
MSU College of Music student performers included:
Charles Morris on bass trombone, and Hyekyung Lee on piano playing a soulful selection from David Gillingham’s Sonata.
