Minsoo Sohn sparkled.
The Assistant Professor of Music at MSU delighted a sell-out audience at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on Saturday evening, October 6th with a piano recital that featured virtuoso performances of works from the 18th, 19th, and 20th Centuries.
Exhibiting an “intellectual sensitivity” at the keyboard, Mr. Sohn received a standing ovation at the completion of his three-work program—an encore followed—that concluded with one of the classic pieces for solo piano, Bach’s Goldberg Variations.
A well-attended reception followed the recital during which Music School Dean Jim Forger suggested that a greater effort would be made to bring more music school students and faculty to New York City for concerts.
