NY Area Spartan of the Week: Jennifer Greening

A few Spartan questions for Jennifer Greening:

Q: What was your major at MSU and what year did you graduate?
A: B.A. FInance, 1997

Q: What are you doing now for work?
A: I spent close to 13 years at two Wall Street firms in a variety of Finance, Business Operations and Marketing roles. After completing NYU’s Executive MBA Program last December, I was a Teaching Fellow at the University for the Spring Semester – a complete change of pace! Now, I’m partnering with a former Professor & IBM for a Retail Consulting project and have recently launched a style blog on the side. Check it out at www.insidejenniferscloset.typepad.com

Q: Where do you live?
A: East Village

Q: Favorite NYC restaurant?
A: So many that I can’t choose just one but some favorites are Stanton Social, Tortilla Flats, Clinton Street Baking Company, Five Points & The Burger Joint.

Q: What is best part of living in the NY area?
A: NY is a smorgasbord of so many things and is the best of the best, no matter what you’re looking for. The electricity of the city, the varied neighborhoods and amazing people I’ve met have kept me here and happy for 8 years now and I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else.

Q: What is best part of being a Spartan in New York?
A: Having a built in fan club to watch Spartan Football & Basketball with, to celebrate the wins together and commiserate during the losses. But most importantly, the friends I’ve met through the MSU Alumni group. They’ve been with me through the good and bad and vice versa – I even introduced a fellow Spartan to his wife and was a bridesmaid in their wedding! (You still owe me, Tom Guirlinger.)

Q: If you could invite 3 people from any time who were associated with Michigan State to dinner who would they be?
A: Tom Izzo, Magic Johnson and Kirk Gibson.
