NY Area Spartan of the Week: Alan Ferraro

A few Spartan questions for Alan Ferraro:
Q: What was your major at MSU and what year did you graduate?
A: My major at MSU was educational psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent development. I graduated in 1975 with a MA.
Q: What are you doing now for work?
A: I am currently an Inter-County Regional Director for the Federal McKinney-Vento Act which serves displaced and homeless children. I train school district staff in the New Jersey counties of Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex pertaining to federal and state law. Prior to that I served as the Director of Special Services for 34 years at local school districts.
Q: Where do you live?
A: I currently live in Spring Lake, New Jersey which is part of the Central New Jersey coastal beach area. I also have a time share in Midtown, New York City .
Q: What is best part of living in the NY area?
A: Living in the New York area offers exciting cultural activities in all aspects of life.
Q: What is best part of being a Spartan in New York?
The best part of being a Spartan in New York is enjoying watching sporting events with other MSU graduates.
A: If you could invite 3 people from any time who were associated with Michigan State to dinner who would they be?
A: The three people I would invite to dinner would be former President Wharton, Biggie Munn and Tom Izzo. All three individuals have enriched the University by setting a high standard of achievement.
