Two MSU College of Music faculty members will bring their musical talents to NYC in June.

Assistant professor of jazz guitar Randy Napoleon will perform at Birdland Jazz Club on June 21-25, as well as at Smalls Live on June 29-30. Assistant professor of jazz studies Etienne Charles will perform at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola on June 28-29.

Brooklyn-born Napoleon has performed on major TV shows including “The Tonight Show,” “Late Night With David Letterman,” “The View,” “The Today Show” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Charles, who hails from Trinidad, was described as “one of [jazz’s] more ambitious soloists and composers” by the New York Times.
