MSU Professor at the Met

Molly Fillmore MSU

Molly Fillmore is associate professor of voice (soprano) at the Michigan State University College of Music. She is currently performing the role of Helmwige in Die Walküre, part of the new Ring cycle at the Metropolitan Opera, on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. and Monday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Molly Fillmore

One of Molly’s students, Jennifer Cook (soprano), has been named one of the winners of the MSU Collegiate Honors Recital Competition and will perform at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on Saturday, April 14, at 8:00 p.m. along with 4 other MSU College of Music students.

Following an international career as a mezzo-soprano, Molly Fillmore recently moved into the soprano repertoire, and has since joined the roster of The Metropolitan Opera.
