2016 MSU Global Day of Service

April 16, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Join the members of the MSU Alumni Club of Greater New York in giving back to our community!

Global Day of Service, set for April 16, 2016, is our way of showing the world the extraordinary impact Spartans can make in a single day. Partnering with New York Cares, this organized, collaborative effort brings Spartans together to serve others in their communities while demonstrating the reach and power of the Spartan network.

Take part in New York City’s biggest spring cleaning event by joining more than 4,000 volunteers as we get our hands dirty in parks, community gardens, and public spaces throughout the city. Volunteers spend one Saturday removing invasive species, picking up litter, repainting benches, planting, and clearing out old growth from our urban green spaces. It’s a great opportunity to discover a new park, meet a community gardener, and learn more about the importance of open space and recreation while making a real difference in the community.

Location TBD – location to be confirmed late March.
Registration Deadline: Monday, April 11, 2016
