Recap: Dean of Michigan State Law School at NYC Mixer

Posted by Pat Donohue | October 22, 2012

Joan Howorth, Dean of the MSU College of Law, joined our local law school alumni on Friday night in the boardroom of Foley & Lardner LLP. The notable law firm’s Park Avenue address and stunning views of the Empire State Building from the 39th floor were the perfect setting for a little autumn hobnobbing with several of New York’s greatest legal minds. (How very Mad Men of us.)

While the legal experience of some attendees was limited to several years of using Law & Order reruns as background noise, alumni from all fields of study enjoyed an amazing spread of cocktails and hors d’oeuvre, as well as an equal amount of stimulating conversation and great networking opportunities. While it’s always a thrill to spend a few hours being sophisticated and fabulous, attendees of the event raised over $1,000 for a scholarship benefiting New York area students enrolled in the MSU School of Law.

We’re kind of a big deal, guys.
