On Friday, September 9, four dozen New York area Spartans and friends enjoyed a memorable night of dancing and fun on the Hudson River during the 2016 Fall Fest Boat Cruise with Hornblower Cruises. The night was jubilant as everyone celebrated New York and creating new friendships amongst area Spartans.

Britteny was born and raised in the small town of Freeland, MI. After four amazing years in East Lansing, she graduated from Michigan State with a B.A. in journalism in 2013 and immediately moved to New York City to start her career. After several years in the fashion industry, Britteny now works as the social media coordinator for Medical Daily and freelances at various other publications.
Hanna is a Spartan for life, but has always been a city girl at heart. Growing up in Michigan as a second-generation Spartan she had arguably the best four years in East Lansing. Very involved in extracurriculars, she had opportunities to attend all sorts of events on campus and shared her experiences as a Spartan Ambassador giving tours.
A native of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Alicia now finds herself living in Hell’s Kitchen and loving it. She has a love for fashion and creativity. A new passion is distance running. Alicia has served on the board for a couple of years and is our “Young Alumni Representative.” She helps to remind us how important it is to remember what it’s like when Spartans move from East Lansing to NYC.
Dan was born and raised in the Detroit Downriver area. Once finding his way to Michigan State University his life changed forever… He met and later married Holly. They moved to the Big Apple (NYC) in 1977 and raised two daughters, Carrie and Kathie. Kathie also graduated a SPARTAN in 2010.
