Recap 2014 Spartan Service Day

Posted by Pat Donohue | April 15, 2014

Deeply entrenched in Spartan tradition is the commitment to give back. Saturday, April 12, 2014 was designated a Spartan Day of Service. In this spirit, the MSU Alumni Club of Greater New York joined forces with NY Cares (New York’s leading volunteer organization) to clean, paint and revitalize one of our city’s parks from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

This past Saturday alumni clubs all over the world volunteered to make a difference in their communities for the second annual Spartan Day of Service. Our NYC alums partnered with NY Cares to clean up Crotona Park in the Bronx. The group spent the beautiful spring day raking, mulching and painting fences around baseball diamonds.
