Mitch was born and raised in Southeast Michigan, just outside of Detroit. He graduated from Michigan State University’s James Madison College in 2007 with a degree in international relations. After graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2010, Mitch relocated to New York City where he now serves as in-house counsel in the banking and financial services sector.
Born on Long Island, Brian grew up in a small town in Western Massachusetts. After attending soccer camps at Michigan State, he knew that East Lansing was the place for him. Brian graduated from MSU in 2001 with a BA in Political Science and received his law degree from MSU in 2004.
Jim graduated from Michigan State in 2006 with a degree in Microbiology, and he now works in equity research focusing on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. While at MSU, Jim met his wife, Kathleen, and they were married in the chapel on campus in 2009, and had Sparty attend their reception.
Roni was born in Detroit, grew up in Mount Vernon, NY, and returned to Michigan earning her BA in Elementary Education from Michigan State in 1964, followed by an MS and Professional Diploma in Counselor Education from Fordham University.
Roni worked as an elementary school teacher and guidance counselor and is now retired.

Brian Bricker from Denville, NJ is this year’s recipient of the Michigan State University Alumni Club of Greater NY Endowed Scholarship.
On April 12th, thirty Tri-State Spartans participated in a terrific presentation by MSUAA Director of Career Services, John Hill, titled: “How to Develop Your Personal Brand,” and it featured utilizing online tools as one mechanism for doing so.
John discussed the use of Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to help develop an online presence and how to use these websites to further expand your network and develop your personal brand.

Q: What was your major at MSU and what year did you graduate?
A: May 1993, Interdisciplinary Humanities (French, Italian and Economics).
Q: What are you doing now for work?
A: I run my own program called Urban Kid Adventurers www.urbankidadventurers.com, recently won the Taylor Shelby award from the prestigious Linnaean Society of New York City for my work with kids in nature, and was on the cover of Spry Living this past Sunday featuring my business.
Born in Manhattan, Larry found his way to the Banks of the Red Cedar and fell in love with Michigan State. He has been active with our club since the early 1990’s and has served as Treasurer, Vice President and President. In 2007, after a 6 year work transfer to Arkansas, Larry moved back into the NY area and was once again Vice President until June 2017.
Patrick Donohue – Board Member since July 2008. Co-chair of Communications Committee. Team member for the bi-weekly generation of our club newsletters, club’s database growth and maintenance, and club web site updates. Scholarship Committee member. Represent MSU at northern NJ College Fairs since 1994. Both daughters are MSU grads.
Eric was born in Detroit, MI and attended Walled Lake Western HS. Eric is a tech enthusiast and has a BS in Computer Science from MSU. Eric is the founder of the consumer electronics product, TinyStic. The TinyStic is a device that converts your smartphone into a desktop computer.
